About Patrice

lover / mother / breast cancer survivor

Patrice Capogreco grew up on a hobby farm in Northern Victoria. Her teen years saw limited sexual experimentation due to the strict boundaries of being raised by her conservative Catholic Italian family and the small-town mentality of country living.

In 2014, now based in Naarm/Melbourne, Patrice left an equally restrictive 15-year relationship and pursued an independent life as an artist manager. A far cry from the small-town existence of her early years. It was chaotic, exciting – full of surprises.

And then in 2021, came an unpleasant surprise. Whilst juggling all that comes with being a single Mum and raising two daughters, Patrice neglected to have a lump checked that she had discovered months earlier.

This lump would turn out to be stage 3 breast cancer requiring a long journey of treatment during a pandemic.

Though Patrice is used to dealing with the business side of enabling artists to tell their stories, now it’s time for Patrice to tell her story in her first ever book.
